Travel Health Insurance Requirements for Cambodia
As of 2022, Cambodia has relaxed its entry requirements, and travel health insurance is no longer mandatory for visitors. Previously, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all travelers were required to have travel insurance.
While it’s not required anymore, it’s still highly recommended to purchase a travel insurance policy before your trip. The Cambodian government suggests securing coverage of at least $50,000 for medical emergencies.
Keep in mind that while travel insurance is suitable for short visits, such as tourism, those planning longer stays should consider obtaining comprehensive health insurance tailored for expats living in Cambodia.
